We contribute to global health by promoting international collaboration in clinical research with all who aim at medical innovation.

The environment surrounding the development of new drugs and medical technologies has undergone significant changes in recent years, and cooperative clinical research is being actively developed globally, while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and standardization in drug development. We believe that we can  further advance multi-regional collaboration by adding a new role to international medical cooperation beyond what Japan has conducted abroad so far, and to provide better medical care to patients who are suffering from diseases in the neighboring countries including Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam, our first partners in multinational cooperative clinical research, and further to patients in African and South American countries.

In promoting international cooperative clinical research, there are many challenges to be overcome, such as harmonization of regulations among countries, collaboration with companies, differences in ethnicities, and health priorities. We will collaborate with staff from partner countries to solve these problems to promote international cooperative clinical research thus leading to shared  contributions to global health.

We appreciate your cooperation in our initiatives to evolve the next generation of medical care to realize medical innovation in various fields.
