Announcement of the 17th NCGM International Infectious Diseases Forum
The 17th NCGM International Forum on Infectious Diseases will focus on viral hepatitis, with emphasis on hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection as a significant infectious disease. The World Health Organization estimates that the number of new HBV infections worldwide reaches approximately 1.5 million cases per year, with the number of people living with chronic hepatitis B totaling approximately 300 million. Under the theme "Forefront of Diagnosis & Treatment of Viral Hepatitis, and Future Prospects," domestic and international experts will present their latest findings. The forum will primarily address trends in HBV infection and treatment in Asian countries, as well as diagnostic markers developed in Japan and the current state and future outlook of hepatitis treatment.- ・Date and time: Thursday, September 5, 2024. 15:00-17:30, Japan Standard Time (JST)
